Meet Dr. Jill Scheiffele

Photo of Dr. Scheiffele.Dr. Jill Scheiffele grew up in Milwaukie, Oregon. She graduated from Rex Putnam High‬ School before earning a Bioethics degree from Pacific University and then a Biology‬ degree from Portland State University. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies,‬ she ventured to the Southside of Chicago to obtain her Optometry degree from the‬ Illinois College of Optometry (ICO). During her time in Chicago, she also completed a‬ residency degree in Low Vision and Ocular Disease at ICO before returning to her‬ home, in the Pacific Northwest.‬

As a physician, Dr. Jill is enthusiastic about patient education, making things‬ understandable to patients and ultimately looking out for her patient’s overall well-being.‬ She always wants each and every patient to feel like they have a physician they can‬ trust, and simply talk with about their concerns. She is especially passionate about‬ helping people with vision loss, given her Low Vision background and experience.‬

In her free time, Dr. Jill likes spending time with her family and friends, exploring‬ Oregon, cooking, music, photography and spending time along the Pacific Northwest‬ coastline.
